The AI layer
Optional, off by default, and limited to rewording passages your own search already picked.
What it does#
When the site operator sets an AI provider key, the assistant shows Reword the selected answer with AI. The server sends the question and at most 4 matched passages (each up to 1,200 characters) to a third-party model through OpenRouter. The model must cite a passage after every sentence. Sentences without a valid citation are removed; if nothing cited remains, the quote stands.
No wallet address, IP address or other visitor data is sent. Each network and the whole site have hourly limits, and the server refuses models priced above a ceiling.
Without a key#
The site works fully without it. Answers are the exact quotes described in How answers are picked, and the page says that AI wording is not configured.
